  Adrian Holovaty offers a retrospective on why he’s shutting down chicagocrime.org.  Chicagocrime.org mapped crime data from the Chicago Police Department and was one of the early applications that “mashed” geographic data onto Google Maps.  Visitors to the original chicagocrime.org are now redirected to EveryBlock Chicago which Holvaty describes as “chicagocrime.org on steroids — more than [...]
