Using checkboxes and PHP / MySQL to show + hide markers

Hey everyone!

Well, I've been mangling with my code for about two weeks, and finally
have decided to throw in the towel and ask for some help. I have
already browsed the web, Google groups, and consulted IRC to the best
of my ability.

I have a map, and the markers on the map are stored in a MySQL
Serveral Markers don't show up

Hello,

I have a question concerning markers on my map.

With this request I want to show several markers on my map:

The source code contains about 20 markers but only 3 appear on the
page. I don't understand the reason and tried several improvements I
Dynamically Sized Icons?

Hi

I'm new to the GMaps API but I have been learning all day...

I'm using the API to display some information contained within a
Google Spreadsheet. You can see where I am so far here:

You see that the label of each icon is a number taken from a
spreadsheet (in this case it is the number of graduates that attend

Hello All,

I am having some issues with adding a marker to the google map that
has a GEventListener attached to it.

What I want to do: Have a map with X markers on it and each marker
when clicked links to another page. I do not want an infoWindow to
pop up, nor do I want it to do anything but navigate away from the
Geo Coding multiple addresses

Hi,
This is the first time i have needed to GeoCode multiple addresses.

i have funtion that pulls 40 addresses from a datbase which gets
geocoded and then put on a map.

For some reason each time I run the script approx a couple of the
addresses returns an error saying that isnt wasnt able to find that
GDownloadUrl not parsing php file

I have a map that is supposed to be getting the marker points from a
mysql database. I coded everything up and when I run the xml.php
file, I can see the xml data ouput in the correct format. If I put
that data out into an xml file called towers.xml (# php xml.php >
towers.xml for example) and load the web page everything gets plotted
Move a Polygon

I am attempting to allow the user to move a polygon "on the
fly" (meaning the polygon is moving while dragging). I've tried to
simplify my code as much as possible from my actual app. I'm able to
allow the user to move the polygon, using a center point, but only if
the center point has a dragend listener. To make it move "on the fly"

Out of curiosity, why is the map of the Georgia republic all white
without any roads or city names?

Was it always like this?

With the current conflict going on there, I wanted to see where these
cities were located and I was surprised to find all the surrounding
area normal, but all of Georgia is white without any details.
Points in KML file not showing in Gmap

I have no problem using "var spots = new GGeoXml()" to load polylines
and polygons from a KML file into Google Maps API. I do, however, have
no success in loading points form a KML file into gmap. Is there a
problem with the Gmap API"? Do I need to use the EGeoXml tool?

Flash - distanceFrom wrong?

I am trying to find the distance between 2 points using:

var a = new LatLng(38.92105,-120.0532);
var b = new LatLng(38.92042,-120.0144);
trace(a.distanceFrom(b) );

but I keep getting about 70 meters as the response, but every other
calculator I use says it's around 3 km. am I doing something wrong?

We just launched a new travel website [link], which uses
the Google map heavily. I’m particularly looking for two main
feedbacks.

1. Is the site intuitive enough for visitors?
2. Does it take a long time to load the markers?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

API to retrive My Maps

I'm looking for help in determining if there is anything in the API to
retrieve a list of maps saved by a user to the "My Maps" section.
Basically I'm trying to see if there is something I can call from a
third party site to see the public maps for a particular user.

Hello,

is it possible to find out the point where WMS is completely loaded
for my map focus? I want to make a loading icon while WMS is still
loading, can anyone show me how i can find out when WMS is loaded?

Polygon artefacts appear after a user-event zoom.

Hi,

I started to make an gis which can show me polygons server from a
database, as you can see on the webpage: [link]

If you start dragging the map you can see up to "Osnabrück" are some
loaded polygons, in the right column of the webpage are the
synchronized search results of the viewing.

Hi Maps API Team,

I've searched through the forum and can see where there have been
requests for adding terrain and satellite capabilities to static maps,
but I haven't seen any requests for the road component of the hybrid
map type. It would be quite handy to also have this readily available

game, rather than of the real world, and I'm curious as to how this
can be achieved.

I'm getting this odd IE behavior with my map. When the page is
loaded, the pins are there, but there's no map graphics. If you click
"map" again, it appears.

If you click "satellite" it goes away again, click it again and it's
there.

Going back, click "maps", graphics are gone again, click again... they

how to open a bubble with a hyperlink outside the map?

I've got a map with several pins. When you click a pin it pops open a
bubble with some information. That's all great.

Now, I also have a list below the map that names all the pins. I'd
like those to be hyperlinks that center the map on the relevant pin
and open the pin's bubble.

I've looked for documentation or code examples of this out there...

how to use .xsl for info window

Can someone direct me to an example showing how to write info window
(placemark) content using an xml file and it's xsl output file. I'm
particularly confused on how to properly use the openInfoWindowXslt
