Disney World 3D Released

The Google Earth Blog reports that the long awaited Disney World 3D layer for Google Earth has been released. Visit their page for more information, videos and try it yourself. I gave it a try myself yesterday evening, and the texture are extremely slow to come in. Perhaps you will have better luck than I did.

A lot of people are still coding with VB6/VBA. I thought python was more in use (11.6%) than C# (35.4%). Do these results surprise you?"

While I was cruising around Google Maps today I noticed a new link where you can run ads on their maps. Essentially it is their Adwords program that is embedded into their maps. Here is a excerpt from their page Try Google AdWords and stand out from the crowd. Whatever your budget, we'll promote your business on Google Maps and across Google's advertising network. You'll reach local customers and pay only when they click on your ads. With AdWords, you pick keywords that describe your business. When users search for those keywords on Google Maps, your ads are eligible to appear directly on the map along with an image related to your business.
