Example of Street View working with Geocoder

Hello

I have had maps working with Geocoder on my site for some time now.
An example is:

You'll notice that I have space to the right for streetview. My
problem is that I cannot get the latlng to pass to the streetview

I do have the coordinates of 80 shops. And I have my current
coordinates. How do I get the way to the nearest shop?

Also small hint would be nice.

I am having issues with the Google Maps Free API.

I get no alert as other posts I have seen have suggested, only that
"Internet Explorer Cannot Open The Website...operation aborted".

This occurs only in IE 6, not IE 7, not FF, not Opera or Safari or
Chrome.

Now, I use the .htaccess file for rewriting rules on the site but
pushpins limitation?/how to show many markers at loadtime.

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the group but was very successful on creating my first
google map and utilizing KML (data source). My KML file is very
simple (no fancy graphics, just the regular blue pushpin). I have
about 2,000 pushpin records to be created. Is there a way to load all
2000 pushpins on the map? I am displaying a map at level 3

I can not stress enough to you that when you make a post of something
and you have a problem please provide us with an error message that
you were giving at the time of the problem........with that we can
run
test or find a solution quicker and easier, this also helps us make

I'm using a couple of functions to read markers and polylines from xml
files and would like to be able to open the map with a set of xml
files pre defined and displayed by passing a variable in the url.

This

Hello,

I am using Google Maps for more than a year on my site. Now, for some
days, I receive an error message, saying that I have to create an api
key for my site. I have created a new api key, but it's the SAME as
the one I already have!

How come it worked before and doesn't work anymore?? I have NOT

Hello. I have a problem.
How to put marker exactly on Polyline, even when i haven't got
precise GPS coordinates? I need to interpolate point coordinates, or
is there onother way to do this in google api?
Multiple Select Boxes

Are there any examples out there of how to apply more then one slect
box to a group of points? Here's my link: [link].
I'd like to split out the campsites and have 2 select boxes --
"Campsites with RV sites" and "Campsites / no RV sites." All the
points are represented on the map (as they are now) -- a user can

I run a fishing website and would like to be able to have a google map
that you can click on to show tide predictions for specific
locations. The NOAA tides online website is able to do this, but they
don't offer a script to put it on your own website that I can find.

Marcelo's very cool heatmap example sent me to the internet to see
what heatmap scripts are out there. The display of large datasets is a
problem I run into frequently.

hi! i work for a company that sells terminals to clients and the
function i'm working on (for which i would like to use google maps
api), is a part of this terminal.
so although clients are paying to buy the terminal, they are not
paying anything extra to use my function.
can we still use the google apis?

The map types G_NORMAL_MAP and G_HYBRID_MAP now display approximate
street addresses as street labels at zoom level 17 and higher. If one
does not want these addresses displayed, they can zoom out; however,
the user loses the ability to see more detail at the higher zoom
levels.

Google should create separate map types for displaying the addresses

I am using the Google Maps API in an ASP.NET web application and am
running into some problems. I want to be able to get geocode
information for addresses in a C# library that is called from my web
app. I construct the correct URL using my API key and the address

Hi
I'm using danish characters in my address and name field,
it's characters like æ,ø,å , because i have locations like Greenland =
Grønland (in danish) and Austria = Østrig (in danish)

But when they show up in the infobox these characters æ,ø,å has
changed to something strange..

how can i use these special danish characters without problems ??

I am using the JSON-method for getting data from a different domain
than where the map is displayed. That is working just fine.

My question is how to handle the case, when my page fails to get the
data from the other server. Everything that is not response code 200.
It may be an internal server error or the server being down

Hi

I've searched on the posts but can't see anything that works. I have a
VERY simple map with one marker but for some reason the marker is not
appearing. I've tried a few things and have the controls working but

I have gone throught the Google API, where I was just able to find
getDistance() in GDirection and another method distanceFrom(other) in
GLatLng. What I m trying to do is find distance b/w Point A to
different Markers on GMap without showing it on to the map. the second
method shows the straightline distance b/w two lines. how will I find

(1) We have a web application that is used for people to locate the
person, car, or pet that's carrying a GPS tracker. Do I need to go for
the premier license from Google?

(2)
If we move this application to mobile phones using static map API,
do we need to go for the premier license? The software is freely
"xml is unavailable. Please try another result"

It looks like our Mapplet is in the directory, however when I click on
the mapplet I get the following error:

If anyone knows why I'm getting this error I would love to hear why.

I have a set of info, how can I try to load them in
openInfoWindowHtml? I can load values into the GLatLng, but not into
the HTML part. The result return is undefine. What does that mean?

We have numerous google maps embedded across our site. These maps load
fine in Firefox but in Explorer 7.0.6001, they don't. Is there a
problem with my browser? I have tried to view these maps on our site
from multiple locations to make sure it is not my home computer. Here
is a location of an embedded map. Any ideas on what is causing this?

My basic questions is, how do you manipulate a TileLayer, such as its
visibility, when the TileLayer is a part of a MapType?

Expanding that question ... when you use Map.addOverlay() you can add
a TileLayerOverlay which contains a TileOverlay. The TileLayerOverlay
has methods like hide() and show() to manipulate its TileLayer.
