IE7 problem: map appears half grey and when click marker, it jumps erratic

My title says most of the issue. FF3 works fine displaying the map and
markers. IE7 will display 1/2 of the map -- limited to a smaller
rectangle in the upper left corner. The rest of the map is grey. When
I click on a marker, instead of opening the marker and displaying the
data at the correct point, the map jumps to another, seemingly random

Hello everyone -

I'm trying to use the marker manager to change the icons of my markers
at a particular zoom level. For this reason, I've made two copies of
each marker, one visible from 0 to 13 and the other visible from 14 to
17. But now that I've also made a sidebar, it lists both copies,

I'm trying to bind an event to a hyperlink with a unique ID that is
inserted to the html of an info window. I am using jQuery to assist
me but it doesn't seem to find the link. Should GEvent be used?

I've been looking around trying to find a similar example, and I
haven't found anything. I basically want to draw a circle with a three
mile diameter around each marker. Does anyone know of an example that
I can use to do this?

I'm sure this is a very basic question but so far I have been unable
to find an answer by searching for similar posts. So could someone
please point me in the right direction.

Basically, I have a list of 30 UK postcodes, in a spreadsheet, which I
would like to show on a Google Map.

Hello everyone,

is there a way to (programmatically) find out who provided the geodata
for a specific coordinate pair? Just like GE displays at the bottom of
the screen, only by means of a [HTTP-request,] which is what I'm doing
now. Other means would be fine as well.

Any hints appreciated.

Adding a street for pathfinding

Hey everyone, I'm coding a google maps page for my college and I'm
trying to get some good pathfinding in it, so that people know how to
get to their classes. However, not all the streets on my campus are in
the google maps database... is there any way I can request to have
these streets added?

My commercial website has been made in such a basic fashion I can't
even embed a map in it. That means I am not gonna use the GMAPI.
However, am I allowed to simply post a hyperlink to a particular
Google Map page on my commercial but unrestricted access website ?

I have a website that when you click on a pin gives you information
about certain locations. I was wondering if it is possible to point
someone from another website to my website with the bubble already
loaded on the map and centred on the pins location. Has anyone had
any experience doing anything like this?

Hi,

I'am with some problems to show Google Maps on Joomla 1.5. This Joomla
uses Mootools and JavaScript. Should be this the cause for the
problem?

I am completely newbie, so I would greatly appreciate any help on
this. I have currently two KMLs: States and County division.

State KML
1) The state polygons seems clickable. But how could I change the
event ~ more specifically, if I click on a state, it will zoom it and

I have a KML file with a URL stored in the descriptions of each
placemark. The file is overlayed and everything is working fine; when
you click on each region, the correct info window pops up and the
correct hyperlink is there. I just have one minor bug that I have not
been able to fix. Every time I click on the hyperlink, the link opens
commercial use (again) =(

I have a question about using the Google Maps Api on my commercial
website.

May i use the GMApi on my website for adress verification proposes and
GPS Coords Extraction? I never show the streetmap itself, only the
geocoding function with PHP.

The verification takes place before registering the user account.

I'm fairly new to the Google Maps API and have written a simple page
to display a map.

The problem is that the map tiles don't seem to display consistently.

Sometimes the page loads just fine. Other times tiles are missing or

How is it possible to show more than 10 hits if you just search for
business companies while using text search?

I tried to find a modificator like "num=" what is working on normal
pages like google.com or google.de - is there some modifikator like

Using API Key with orkut applications

I have some doubt about my geo and map key for using inside orkut
application.
My XML and JS files are in a server like [link], but this files
are included by orkut to show the application.

Hello,

I'd like to execute the getMapMarkerInfo function below when a marker
is clicked and access the marker.id field in that function. When i run
the script it just echo's undefined out over and over again and
crashes my browser?

Anyone know what i'm doing wrong?!

I have a table with over 1.2 million records.

I am trying to conduct a proximity search using the haversine formula.
So I need to get top 100 profiles in the 20 miles vicinity of an
address that I have geocoded

Each record is already geo-coded and I also have a clustered index on
lat,lng fields.

I've got a dealer locator under development, not public yet. No way is
it getting even a few hundred hits per day. I successfully geocoded a
few hundred dealer locations last week (storing the lat/long in the
database) and have been playing with the locator for a while. All of a
