I'm making a google mash-up for a school project and I need help with
2 things:

1) So far, this is what I've come up with (atlas.colorado.edu/~hield/
bit/image1.html). I was wondering if there's any way to restrict the
scrolling so that the user can only see the ski resort trail map.

2) How can I make it so users can post their own "pushpin" or marker

Is there a straightforward way to take a large KML file (describing
polygons) and generate the tiled images, so that I can host the tiles
from my own server? They're running too slow when I have the API draw
from the KML file directly.

Hello,

I'm currently building a cms-based site. During the construction phase
the site is in a password protected directory. It will however be open
to all visitors after construction and testing is finished.

I would like to use a cms-extension which uses the Google Maps API on
this site. Would it be a problem if I install this extension with the
Geocoding KML response - Did something change?

Geocoding had been working well for us on various domains. Very
recently, most but not all addresses will not geocode. We were testing
based on SubAdministrativeArea, but that is no longer reliable. Some
addresses return SubAdministrativeArea, but most do not. (Please see

To whom it may concern,

This is more of a technical question; if you are unable to answer, could you
please send me in the right direction. We are using the GGeoXml class to
show articles from our geoRSS feeds into Google Maps and Google Earth. I
was wondering if it is possible to create a custom icon/marker for each
GoogleBar Options Hint or Execute doesn't work?

Hi I'm currently trying to set up a map which lists various support
groups in the UK, but I would like to mark these using different
colours depending on the type of group they are.
The information used to populate the map is generated from a
spreadsheet held in google docs.

Works fine with Opera and FF. Invalid argument in IE. Constant line number.

I'm struggling to simplify a polygon layer for use in epoly.js

I've used ArcMap's generalization tools and they really leave a lot to
be desired. The layer I'm trying to use it against is a dissolved
layer of Bailey's Ecoregions (retrieved from the national atlas

I am sending a postcode to the geoCodeRequest function as shown below

this.GMap1.geoCodeRequest(post _code);

I am getting a latitude and longtitude values back however it always
seems to be slightly out. About 2 -3 streets out.

Does anyone know why this is and how it can be fixed.

I want the content on the sidebar to hide/show based on which checc
boxes. When u uncheck the check box for hookah cafe it hides the
markers and i want to hide the names for those markers from the
sidebar as well..

i am in big problem, i have 5 users from Newyork city and having same
logitude and lattitude. now i want to show all these 5 users on google

but map is showing only 1 pin istead of 5 pins.

So I have a property with the address as follows:

301 E Holly Street Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948

In which I'm using a geolocator to map it via the address. However, I
get no results. But if I type it into maps.google.com, I get the
proper results.

I tried cheating it a bit by removing the city, so it was such:

We're building a simple application that will show bike shop locations
on a search results page. Each shop location will also have a "detail"
page. We want a simple map displayed on each detail page that pulls
the address from the database and displays a marker on a small google
map.

The map needs to match the record ID of the data for each shop.

I'm using openInfoWindowTabsHtml but finding the height of the info
window is being set to the sum of the heights of the tabs, not the
height of the tallest tab. This results in a large empty area below
the contents on each tab.
