Marker Display speed -- moving page to page

Looking for some help in speeding up the display of markers -- as we
move from page to page. Each page/map displays only 20 markers. Yet
when we move from one page to the next there is a 2-3second lag in
displaying the new markers.

Lost my map key

I obtained a map key for a domain as soon as I registered it, but I
stored it in a database instead of a file.

Some software error has erased it from the database, and I have no
clue how to get it back.

The "forgot password" link is obvious, but there doesn't seem to be a
"forgot map key" link.

The elements of my map are loading in strange positions and my control
of the map is limited to the very top section. I believe it has to do

Using different icons for geoxml GeoRSS feeds

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this.

I have a map at [link]

The map plots some locations and uses geoxml to display layers fed by
georss feeds. I've been able to change the icon displayed for the
feeds by editing geoxml.js but what I would really like is a different

Hi, I am using GMap to show the location of item on an auction site
that I run. But for some reason the map isnt shwing the correct
location.

Have a look at a few items here on [link]

If you click on an item you will be able to click on the location
which will open gmap, it is using postcode and county.

Hi,

I geocode via the API. In Germany, some SubAdministrativeAreas
("Region") have the same name like a Locality ("Stadt") inside this
area, e.g. there is a city - Trier - which is part of a region called
Trier, too. The API will only find the city (Locality level) and never
the AdministrativeArea - so I cannot get lat/long for this region.

Javascript Errors in IE7

Working on developing a site here, but I get Javascript errors in IE7
(7.0.6000.16609).
I get runtime errors on line 25 (invalid argument), something about
'this.Ve.width' on line 711 and another error. Even though IE does not

I am using a plugin for Movable Type blogging software that uses
Google Maps API. The way the host setup Movable Type is that the admin
resides on the main domain, let's say [link],

Hi,

I have a database that is geocoded. I have the starting lat, lon, and
ending lat lon. The web page I have then gets directions. It draws
the line from starting point to ending point and produces the written
directions, just like the Google example. Works fine.

I also have a class in my code (c#) that uses the Haversine Formula

I think I may have asked this before around here, but it was at least
a month ago and I never received a response ... so I am going to ask
again, hopefully someone can help me. It is a two part question. But

I have an existing map that I put polyline overlays on to show hiking
trails in various colors to match the "blaze" signs. For "white" and
"yellow," I actually draw 2 polylines, first a black that is 2-pixels
wider than I want, then over that, the color at the "right" width, so
the result is a black bordered light colored line.
how to use google api to calculate travel mileage

Hi
I wanted to pass on a origin and destination zip codes and get the
travel mileage for the same.

Could somebody provide pointers as to how to get this using google
API. I do not want to display the map and I just want to call a
function and get the distance (in miles) back. Can somebody point me
"endline" event for enableEditing?

I use "endline" event for enableDrawing, but its counterpart is not
available for enableEditing. For a workaround, I have an outside
button "End Editing." I then loop through the vertexes to look up
elevations, or put them into an email, etc. Anyone have a better "on
the map" solution for detecting end of editing? This is for my map of
Changing Google map from an old site to a new site

I've taken on an existing site. The client wanted a new domain name.
Now the Google Map does not work on the new site. I simply want to
change the geocoder to recognize the new domain name, but could not
locate the information. I could start fresh with a new map, but I just
hate to recreate the wheel. I would appreciate any suggestions.
