2. Denkt an die Polygonfunktionen (z.B. Clip, Merge, Auto-Complete, etc.) zum Erzeugen und Modifizieren von Objekt

I cam across this blog/site today that seems like an interesting tool for those who are new to ArcGIS and a nice reference for those more familiar. GIS Pathway.com is a site that offers tips on using ArcGIS (Desktop only so far). It is maintained by a student named Timothy at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. With the combination of written descriptions and a smattering of videos I think the site has great potential and is similar to what I had envisioned for the VerySpatial

The car is the brainchild of our GM Phil Allen who says “This is the most advanced mapping car to drive New Zealand roads. We have driven all of New Zealand’s roads with differential GPS before, but this car has leading edge technology. New technologies demand superior quality data.” While other cars are getting pretty good information and imagery, pretty good isn’t enough for today’s needs. This car is collecting up to a terabyte of data a month from five cameras catching lane information, str

Since the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans in 70 AD and their subsequent banishment from Palestine, the Jews had been without a national home until the founding of Israel in 1948. Right? Wrong. The Soviets beat the Zionists by a few decades, and organised a Jewish Autonomous Region, improbably located on the Russian-Chinese border beyond Mongolia. Even more improbably, that region’s ‘Jewish’ status has survived stalinism, wars, deprivation and the fall of communism. But few Je

GIS: The Systems Part Geographic information systems (GIS) are commonly associated with location. Many people immediately think of place - a coordinate - and more often than not mapping is mentioned. This is logical because the single most identifiable use of geographic data is to determine the position of something. That ’something’ often includes a car, house, building, pipeline, [...]

My employer was the first to tell me about GIS Professional Certification provided through the GIS Certification Institute. Since I was new to the GIS industry, I knew nothing about GISP; but the information that he provided challenged me to learn more about what it could do for me and how I could earn it. I went to the GISCI website to learn what the certification was, who recognized it, and how I could earn this title. Through the things that I learned, I was eager to ge
