Still catching my breath after much exam grading, I wanted to post on the in-press article by Conroy et al (2008) in the Journal of Human Evolution about the use of GIS and specifically Google Earth to publish and share data online using an easy and accessible platform. QGIS 0.10.0がリリース OSGeo財団のプロジェクトの1つでもあり、デスクトップGISソフトとして最近完成度を高めているQGISの最新バージョン、0.10.0がリリースされた。早速ダウンロードして使ってみたが、新機能だけでなくアイコンが一新されたこともあって、なんだか新鮮な感じである。 QGIS0.10 0.9の次のリリースは1.0かと思っていたら、出たのは0.10。ということは、1.0が出るまでにはまだ何回かリリースがあるのかも？ あるいはMapSeverも、昨年5.0が出る前に、4.10が出ているから、そのパターンか？ QGISは0.7までは、フリーのGISビューアレベルに毛の生えたくらいの機能しかなかったが、0.8以降は編集機能が付き、0.10ではかなり手の込んだ入力編集機能までサポートされている。もともとGRASSのプラグインを使えば、分析もいくつかできるようになっていたし、WMSレイヤの参照やPostGISへの接続など、様々な拡張機能が実装されていたので、汎用のGISソフトとしては、今や商用製品の背中が見えるところまで追いついてきたと思う。QGI

■[GIS][FreeBSD][保留] MySQLに挑戦してみるが複数のリングがあぁ とりあえず、portsからmysql51-serverを入れてみる。特に問題なし。例によって、/usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server をとりあえず除いて、rc.confに入れるべき変数を調べる。入れたのはこんなかんじ。 mysql_enable="YES" mysql_args="--default-character-set=utf8" なお、charcter-setは、/usr/local/share/mysql/charsets/Index.xml に一覧があります。 とりあえずテーブルを作ったり何なりをしてみる。googleさんに聞いたら、入門用のドキュメントはかなりありました。 mysql create database test; use test; create table t_test( the_geom POLYGON NOT NULL, SPATIAL INDEX(the_geom)); のっけから「そっち」かよ:-) 空間インデクスは

■[GIS][PGSQL] もうこうなりゃPostgresの幾何データもやってやれ create table t_test( the_polygon POLYGON ); insert into t_test select '( (0,0), (100,0), (100,100), (0,100), (0,0), (10,10), (20,20), (20,10), (10,10) )'; select the_polygon @> '(30,30)'::point from t_test; ?column? ---------- t (1 row) select the_polygon @> '(15,12)'::point from t_test; ?column? ---------- f (1 row) 見ての通り、幾何データのPOLYGONには、リングはありません。代わりに強引に二重にしてやると、穴あきは可能でした。

■[GIS][PGSQL] rtreeインデクスの再実装がされていた ふと、幾何データに対して "CREATE INDEX ... USING RTREE ..." とかやりました。 NOTICE: substituting access method "gist" for obsolete method "rtree" なぬー。で、8.2.6のソースツリーに急いで(急がんでもいいが)移動して、HISTORYを見ると確かに「RTreeはGiSTを使って再実装されますた」と。 いつ変わったの?と見たけど、8.2以前のリリースとしか分からない。 いずれにしても、知らんかったorz explain analyze select ... で試してみたら、確かに幾何データPolygonに対してGiSTインデクスを付けてあげた方が早いです(いい加減なのでどれだけ早いかは言えません)。 あと、幾何データPointに対してはGiSTインデクスは付けられませんでした。残念。 コメントを書く トラックバック -
